Mr. Evan Eugene Austin, Jr. died Saturday, August 23, 2014 following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Austin was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all that he met. He was an educator teaching Vocational Agriculture at Quitman High School for many years. He served his curch, Sweetwater Baptist Church as a deacon and in his younger years he served his country as an M.P in the U.S. Army.
Friends may call on the family 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday at Southern Funeral Home in Jonesboro and Monday 9:00 am until service time at Sweetwater Baptist Church. Services will be held 10:00 am Monday at Swetwater with Reverend Stuart Toms and Reverend Wilton Wall officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
