John Matthew Casper III, 85, died Thursday evening, August 14, 2014, with family present, at the home of his son Timothy. John “Jack” Casper was born on May 24, 1929, in Chicago, the son of the late John M. Casper II and Alice F.(Bidwell) Casper. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Casper, and sister Jeanne (Friend) Casper. He married the late Rosella Jean Dunn on October 6, 1956. They lived in the Austin area of Chicago before moving to Wisconsin to help his mother-in-law run the Rollin Wheels Roller Rink in Twin Lakes. On May 22, 1976, he was united in marriage to Florence B. Canright in Kenosha. They lived in Twin Lakes and Wheatland before moving to Lyons in 1992. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lyons. He worked for and retired from Rewald Electric in Burlington. Jack is survived by his three children Timothy (Nadine) Casper of Itasca, IL., William (Becky) Casper of Burlington, WI., and Julia Casper of Burlington WI.; Two step-children, Jean (Rick) McKinney of San Antonio, TX and Charles (Robyn Calvin) Canright of Freeland, WA.; six grandchildren, Ashley, Aaron, and Kyle Casper, Crystal Kresken, John Casper and Bryce Casper; two step-grandchildren, Vienna and Slater Canright; and great-grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Cloey Kresken. There will be a mass held at 12pm on Monday August 25, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lyons Wisconsin with interment “Promptly” at 3pm at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, Wisconsin. Memorial remembrances may be made to the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, www.dva.state.wi.us or the Aurora VNA Zilber Hospice, 1155 Honey Creek Parkway, Wauwatosa, Wis. 53226 Published in Racine Journal Times on Aug. 24, 2014
