Joe K. Vaughn, 87, died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at his residence. He was born June 23, 1917, in Henderson, Tennessee, to J.T. and Modina James Vaughn. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was retired from the Mississippi State Highway Department as an instrument engineer after 25 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Inez H. Vaughn; one brother, Rev. Roy L. Vaughn; and his parents.
Services were held Tuesday, May 22, 2005, at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with Bro. Wayne Mitchell and Bro. Jack Maroon officiating. Burial is at the Belmont City Cemetery.
