Rome - James Clark Wheeler died yesterday at his home, 209 Clark Street, ill six weeks.

He was born in Vienna Mar 16, 1858, son of the late John and Ann Jane Wheeler. He was twice married. His first wife was Mattie Oddercurk (Ouderkirk), who died in 1895. On Aug 9, 1905 he married Margaret Hand in Hamilton, who survives, also two sons by the first wife, Arthur of Utica and Earl of Schnectady, and three other children by the second wife, Peter of Hamilton, Harold and Elizabeth of Rome, and a sister and a brother, Mrs. Richard Wood and Frederick Wheeler of Vienna.

He was a carpenter by trade and a member of the Knights of Maccabees and attended Calvary M. E. Church. The funeral will be held at the funeral home of Griffin & Aldridge tomorrow.
