per Obituary ran in the Evening Telegraph
Snider, Jennie
Published Thursday September 17, 1914

George E. Snider, employed by the T. & O. Co., received a cruel shock when he returned from his work at 6 o'clock Wednesday evening and entered his home to find the silent and inert body of his wife Mrs. Jennie Snider, lying on the floor of the living room. She was unconscious and evidently dying.

Neighbors assisted the sorrow-stricken husband to lift the unconscious form and place it on a couch. A physician was called but Mrs. Snider never recovered consciousness and died at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday night. Paralysis was the cause, the deceased, having suffered two strokes previous to the one which proved fatal.

Mrs. Snider had prepared dinner for herself and husband at noon and appeared in her usual health and spirits. There was no way of knowing how long she had been lying unconscious before she was found.

The body was removed to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Rank this morning, she and her husband having moved from there to their new location only two days before. The funeral will be held Saturday morning, with service at the Christian church at 8:30 a.m. Rev. Mr. Warren officiating, and burial in Oakwood.
