Thomas Langham was raised in Simpson County, Mississippi and later moved to Raymond, MS. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being outdoors and at his deer camp along the Mississippi River. He had a unique way of sitting on bended legs and would do so for hours at a time. He worked many jobs with the last one being Metro Pawn Shop in Jackson, MS.

Thomas was a verteran of the U.S. Army and had half his thumb shot off during the war. He also was on the Vicksburg, MS police department for a period of time.

Thomas had a daughter, Elaine Worsham, who was raised in Texas. He married Ruth Ann Langham, who was a widow with two sons, one only months old. Together they raised those sons, Jason "Jake" Raney and David Raney in Raymond, Mississippi.

Thomas had nine brothers and two sisters. He gave every one of their children the same nickname, "monkey", as he jokingly said he had to because there were just too many to remember their names. He loved music though he never joined his brothers in playing instruments or singing. He always came along for the fun though. His laughter was as unique as his zest for life.
