192nd New York Infantry
William (aka James William), the son of John Lairdieson and Elizabeth Love, was a member of Company H of the 192nd Infantry Regiment of New York. According to the Report of the Adjutant General, he enlisted at Troy for one year, mustered in March 28, 1865 and mustered out with the company August 28, 1865. He served in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
Upon his death, William's wife, Sarah Maria Goldsmith Lairdieson, received an army widow's pension.
