Early Life: Jeffrey "Jeff" was born March 21, 1955, in San Bernardino, California, to Arthur J. "Art" and Yvonne "Bonnie" Wiggins Porter. He was raised and educated in Colton, California, graduating from high school in 1973.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Shortly thereafter, he entered Christian ministry, working with Victory Outreach, a church that ministered to men working through substance abuse. Jeff went on to teach Bible studies and later supervised the Victory Outreach Ranch in Victorville, California. Recently, he enjoyed the outdoors, including shooting, fishing and hiking, particularly with his nephews. He was an accomplished cook, having worked at Kadena's and several local personal care homes. He'll be remembered as a quiet, understanding, calm, gentle, caring man with a subtle sense of humor who loved to tease. Jeffrey Joseph Porter, of Huson, Montana, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014, as the result of an automobile accident. He was 59.
Survived By: His parents, Art and Bonnie; wife, Sally; a son, Matthew Porter; daughter, Rosie Porter; stepdaughter, Mari Castro; two sisters, Diane (Bob) Wikum and Janet Porter; a brother, Steven (Joyce) Porter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased By: His sister, Ellen.
