Life's Work/Service/Interests: On November 21, 1958, Mary Alice married Dr. Walter Paul Briggs in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Those blessed to know Mary know her for her twinkly spirit, her rock solid faith, her love of music and zeal for family. Mary Alice Monson Briggs, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved posterity on Aug 18, 2014, in American Fork, Utah. She was 78.
Survived By: Her eight children: Dennis (and Cori Johnson) Briggs, Draper; Karen (and William) Morgan, West Jordan; Nathan (and Caroline Macdonald) Briggs, Wellsville; Alan (and Emily Flickinger) Briggs, Nibley; Jennifer (and Michael) Durham, Holladay; Joanna (and John) Liddell, St. George; Erik (and Emilie Nunes Copier) Briggs, Cedar Hills; and Clarissa Briggs Cartwright, American Fork; 32 grandchildren; her siblings: Calvin (and Claudia Sedgwick) Monson, Provo; Marlene (and Richard) Wood, Provo; and Kenneth (and Jolene Bowen) Monson, Highland.
Preceded In Death By: She was greeted in the spirit world by Walter who waited for her for 25 years. Also waiting there, were her parents; sisters, Nadine (and Richard) Nibley and Linda Monson; her brother, George Monson; and her grandson, Alma William Morgan.
