Effie Fox was born approximately 1897 or 1898 to Thomas and Harriett (Taylor) Fox. She married Floyd Fox and was the mother of eight children - James Hurshel, Bethel, Edith, Viola, and Mavis (all who lived to adulthood) with Grace, Lloyd, and Thelma having died in infancy. Effie died in March, 1933, after having suffered from Tuberculosis. She was 35 years old. My grandfather was her first child (Hurshel)and he always spoke fondly of his mother, saying she was a sweet soul who loved her children dearly.
