Mr. Delwin Jay Braddy, age 71, 2135 GA Hwy 130 East, Loop Road, Vidalia, died Wednesday night, December 27, 1995 in the Meadows Regional Medical Center of Vidalia after a sudden illness.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County. Mr. Braddy was a retired Construction Superintendent with Lake McDonald Construction Company. He was a member of the Milliken Creek Masonic Lodge of Cedar Crossing, a member of Woodmen of the World, was a Marine Veteran of World War II, and was of the Nazarene Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Braddy, Vidalia; two sons, Joseph Wayne Braddy, Lyons and Roger Jay Braddy, Vidalia; three daughters, Janice B. Reid, Martha B. Williamson, and Teresa Fay Braddy, all of Vidalia; one brother, Roy Braddy, Glennville; one sister, Sara Ely, Soperton; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Braddy were held Saturday, December 30, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia with the Rev. Bill Lee and the Rev. Randy Callahan officiating. Interment followed in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Henry Purcell, Bill Braddy, John Davis, Lindy McDonald, Warren Mixon, Wesley Knabb, Lake McDonald, Louie Calhoun, Jennings Dykes, Dyess Shuman, H.L. Williamson, and Estol Williamson. Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service of Vidalia was in charge of arrangements.
