Polly Ann McKinney Clark, 63 years of age, passed away on August, 15, 2014 in Johns Creek, Georgia.
She was born on April 2, 1951 in Birmingham, Alabama to Jeannette Adair and Thomas Linzy McKinney.
Polly grew up in Augusta, GA and graduated from Richmond Academy. She attended both the University of Georgia and Auburn University, where she graduated from in 1973 with a Bachelor of Elementary Education and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Polly taught school in Opelika, Alabama and Gwinnett County, Georgia. For several years in between teaching, she served as an executive assistant with The Coca-Cola Company and the Weather Channel in Atlanta, Georgia. She retired from the Gwinnett County School System in 2012.
Polly is survived by her two sons,her brother and his wife and their son.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 19th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA. A graveside service, officiated by the Father Robert D. Fain, Rector, Church of the Good Shepherd, will be held on Wednesday, August 20 at 11:00 a.m. at the Westover Memorial Park Cemetery, 2601 Allen Street, Augusta, GA.
Memorials may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd in Augusta, Georgia.
