L.V. "Pill" Caldwell, 80, Calvary, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at his residence.

Born Jan. 3, 1930, in Marion County, Caldwell was a retired farmer, a Marion County magistrate from January 1966 to December 1985, & a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, William Ivo & Martha Ethel Abell Caldwell, Sr.; five brothers, Austin, Ivo "Blue Bo", Robert, George, and Daniel Caldwell; four sisters, Cecilia, Odela, Mary & Margaret Ann Caldwell.

Survivors include: his wife, Joyce Hayden Caldwell of Calvary; five sons, Larry (Joyce), Tommy (Anne), Joey (Joyce), Tony (Dot) & Michael (Janice) Caldwell, all of Calvary; three daughters, Annette (John) Glasscock of Lebanon & Barbara (Greg) Barnett & Lucy (Billy Joe) Thomas, both of Calvary; three brothers, Paul Caldwell of Elizabethtown, Fabian Caldwell of Louisville & Nicky Caldwell of Springfield; two sisters, Aileen Young & Mrs. Bernadine (J.B.) Thomas, both of Lebanon; four sisters-in-law, Elaine, Odele, Hazel & Edith Caldwell; 19 grandchildren; & 16 great-grandchildren.

The funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Calvary. Father Jerry Bell officiated.

Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
