Willis C. "Salty" Reynolds, 79, of 1421 E. Samuel Ave. died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at his home.

Born Dec. 19, 1924, in Peoria to William W. and Oline Peterson Reynolds, he married Betty A. Riley on Aug. 7, 1959, in Peoria. She died on Dec. 7, 1982, in Peoria.

One brother and one sister also preceded him in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Joey (and Raymond) Pankey of Peoria Heights, with whom he lived, and Kimberly B. Vanderbilt of Texarkana, Ark.

He worked as a receiving inspector at Hiram-Walker for 43 years, retiring in 1981.

He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Cremation has been accorded and burial of ashes will be in Swan Lake Cemetery.
