Funeral for Edgar Whitfield, 86, of 5928 Spring Street, Austell, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Austell First Baptist Church Chapel, with burial at the Rose Hill Cemetery there.

Mr. Whitfield, a retired grocery store manager, died Friday. He was a native of Fulton County and a member of the Austell First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Whitfield; daughters, Flora Whitfield of Austell, Mrs. Mildred Rowan of Potomac, Md., and Mrs. Agnes Meir Hood of East Point; and sons, Hubert E. Whitfield of Austell, Thomas N. Whitfield of Marietta, Aubrey L. Whitfield of Winnsboro, S.C.H. Charles Whitfield of Dunwoody and Allen P. Whitfield of Omaha, Neb.
