Ruby Ophelia Williams, 53, of Summerfield, Florida, died peacefully in her sleep early Saturday morning, August 16, 2014 in Lugoff, SC, while on a trip home for the wedding of her nephew, R.J. (Jamie) Williams.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, November 17, 1960, a daughter of Margaret "Alice" Hines Williams and the late Jesse Demeroy Williams, she was employed as a CNA and enjoyed crocheting, singing, and playing the piano.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Amanda Chicoine (Jason) Cockfield; three grandchildren, Alexis Marianna, Jason Roy, Jr., and Curtis James Cockfield, all of Camden; a brother, Roy E. Williams of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Teresa A. Williams of Lugoff and Sandra Williams Arledge of Camden; and her special friend, Joe Lamping of Summerfield, FL.
She was preceded in death by her younger brother, Lenard Ray Williams.
Memorial services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Camden First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. David Snodgrass officiating.
