She was born at home. She taught school for forty three years, starting at age eighteen. After retirement, she substitued for nine years and then tutored in her home until the time of her death. She was past president of the Utah Association for Childhood Education,was always interested in politics and active in the Republican Party. She lived with her family most of her life. She had one son, Kenneth Muffett. She was a special person and almost all the neighbors called her Grandma Brom.
