Meinrad "Meinie" Evens, 65, 102 18th Ave N., died at his home June 22. He was a retired employee of the Stearns County Highway Department.

He was born Nov. 22, 1909, in Farming, to the late William and Mary Evens and lived here eight years.

He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Mr. Evens is survived by a brother - John and two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Tillie) Lemke and Veronica, St. Cloud. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Cantius Church with the Rev. Lawrence Torborg officiating. Burial was in Assumption Cemetery.

Nephews of the deceased will be pallbearers. They are Ralph, Raymond, Leander, Andrew and Marcellus Evens and William Lemke.

Friends may call at the Daniel Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

St. John Cantius parish will say the parish prayers at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
