He was born Jan. 28, 1895, to the late William and Mary Evens. He married Susan Doll Jan. 13, 1920, and was a lifetime businessman here.
He was a member of St. Joseph's society.
He is survived by his children, Leonard, Minneapolis; Claude and Ray, St. Cloud; Mrs. Edmund (Aurelia) Thomas, Mrs. Julius (Loraine) Schmidt, Ralph and Herbert, Richmond, Minn.; 21 grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Peter, Waite Park; John, Albany, Minn.; Edward, Richmond; Veronica, Meinrad and Mrs. Mathilda Lemke, St. Cloud; and Paul, Milbank, S.D.
