Died In Des Moines
Services for Charles W. Goin, 73, of Des Moines, who died Sunday at a hospital there, were held Tuesday morning at the Hamiltons Funeral Home in Des Moines. Graveside services and burial were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Woodburn.
A native of Van Wert, Mr. Goin lived at Woodburn before moving to Des Moines 41 years ago. A former rural mail carrier at Woodburn, he was a Great Western railroad breakman 31 years, retiring in 1949 because of ill health. Mr. Goin was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Surving are his widow, Daisy; a daughter, Mrs. Nina Bring of Des Moines; a son, Mansel Goin of Des Moines; a brother, Elvin Goin of St. Paul, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Foutch of Russell, and four grandchildren.
