Mr. Kenneth Larry Cochran, age 63 of Blue Ridge, passed away April 15, 2011 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Mr. Cochran was born April 1, 1948 in Fannin County, GA to the late James Gordon Cochran and the late Bonnie Ferrell Cochran. Kenneth was a member of Youngs Chapel Baptist Church. He served in the US Army Infantry during the Vietnam War. He worked as a mail carrier for 26 years having the largest rural mail route in the continental US covering three states, he also worked in law enforcement. He was preceded in death by his father, James Gordon Cochran, mother, Bonnie Ferrell Cochran, son, Mathew Cochran, brother, Otis (Rethal) Cochran, brother, Wendell Cochran, sister, Irene McVey, brother, Glenn Cochran.

Survivors include: wife, Yvonne Cochran, daughter, Tara (John) Moreland, son, Jeremy (Jennifer) Cochran, sister, Pauline (Norman) Stewart, brother, J.E. (Edith) Cochran, brother, Harold (Martha) Ferrell, brother, Johnny (Carolyn) Cochran, sister in law, Henrietta Cochran, six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Youngs Chapel Baptist Church with the Reverends David Mashburn and Jackie Cochran officiating.
Music will be provided by Pat Masburn, Krystie Daves, Kerrie Touchstone and Karla Snider. Interment will be at the Youngs Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service with full military honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Pallbearers include Bobby Bearden, Tony Petty, Kenneth McVey, Butch Anderson, Larry Franklin, and Charlie Couch. Honorary pallbearers include Darvin Couch, James Kilpatrick, Scott Ware, Jim Allen, Elbie Cole, Leman Henry, and Kenneth Mann.

Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday evening, April 16, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.at the funeral home.
