Larry Wade, 63, of Sioux Falls, died Friday, March 1, 2013 at the VA Regional Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

Larry was born August 10, 1949 at Detroit, MI. He grew up in Detroit where he received his education, graduating from high school in 1968. Following high school, he attended college for a short time, then entered military service and served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years.

On August 16, 1986, he was united in marriage with René Martinson-Lee at Sioux Falls, SD. He moved to Sioux Falls and was employed with the EROS Data Center as a photo technician for 24 years. In 2012 he retired from Wells Fargo after 9 years.

Larry was active as an umpire for women’s slowpitch softball for 16 years. He loved the outdoors and particularly enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He also cherished time he spent with family and friends.

Larry was predeceased by his parents; and one brother, Charles Wade.

Funeral services will begin 10:30 am Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at Miller West Funeral Chapel, 6200 W. 41st Street.
