Died peacefully at home in Waterloo on April 29, 2012 after a brief encounter with cancer.

Born in Galt, ON, the only child to Ford and Flosselle (nee Clemens) Sudden. On September 22, 1944 she married Austin Zoeller and moved to the Century Farm (1843) on Bleams Rd., New Hamburg.

Their two children Jayne (Terry) Hallman of Kitchener; and Bob (Jacquie) Zoeller of New Hamburg brought much joy to her life. Grandchildren Dr. Lisa Hallman (Dr. Karl Looper) of Montreal; and Derek (Shae) Hallman of Thorndale kept her young as she followed their activities. Great-grandchildren Alison, Jessica, and Brooke Looper and Grant and Kirk Hallman were so very special. She followed proudly their involvement in music, hockey, swimming and school activities. Also remembered by Kathryn Lebold-Jones, Aaron Lebold and their families.

Margaret graduated from G.C.I. and went to work in the office of a woolen mill and became involved in time study. After marriage she was heavily involved in 4H and the Women’s Institute, becoming President of FWO from 1968-1971, and maintained membership with the Bloomingdale W.I. Austin and Margaret travelled to many parts of the world and spent many years in Bonita Springs, FL during the winter. Upon retirement they moved to Waterloo. During retirement her children were always there to offer care and assistance to make life easier and more pleasant. Their readiness to help was a hand that was so appreciated and special.

Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to share their memories of Margaret with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 10 – 11 a.m. The memorial service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m. A reception will take place in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room.
