Funeral for Joe Lee Hamilton, 68, of Decatur will be Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Cotten officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Hamilton, who died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at his residence, was born July 12, 1937, in Morgan County to Richard Hamilton and Tressie Stovall Hamilton. He retired from FedEx Freight as operations manager in 2004. He was a member of Austinville United Methodist Church. Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Sim and Jack Hamilton; and one sister, Imogene Hamilton.
Survivors include his wife, Jerry Singleton Hamilton; two daughters, Cindy Hamilton of Caddo and Tammy Varnagatas of Elkmont; three brothers, Fred Hamilton and Raymond Hamilton, both of Decatur, and Garrold Hamilton of Hartselle; and one grandson, Rodney McGregor of Moulton.
Pallbearers will be friends and co-workers from FedEx Freight.
