Togus Maine records detail Civil War service and medical visit for a broken Clavicle in 1886. Veteran Briggs died in the State Almshouse in Cranston.

Wife's death record has a discrepancy: It says buried PV004 Locust Grove where daughter Phebe Ann (Briggs) Millett is buried, listed as "West End" in early records, records kept at North Burial Ground.
