Hugh couldn't haven't married Isabella Chisholm (m. 23 Feb 1862), was that a son or a different Hugh?

"Hugh lived on a farm at Black Avon near the road leading to Fraser's Grant, where it leaves the road leading from Heatherton to Glasburn. The property is now owned (1993) by Alan Joseph MacDonald and his family, who is a direct descendant of Hugh MacDonald. Hugh had a family and I unfortunately have knowledge of very few of them.

Most important for me is that they had a daughter Mary, who married John Roderick MacDonald, my mother's parents. Hugh and Janet also had a son Andrew, and a daughter who married Donald Beaton of Monks Head, where they lived. They had a son, Sandy Beaton, who had a family. His children were: Mary, married to Dan Christopher Chisholm. They lived at Pomquet River and had one daughter Eileen, who married a Mr. Sinclair, they lived in the Boston area. Sandy's other children were: John, who died in New York in 1940, he was buried at Pomquet; Flora, who lived in the Boston area; and Margaret, who married Ronald William MacLellan of South Side Harbour, and also lived in the Boston area and had no family.

Hugh had a son, Red Alan MacDonald, who married Annie MacDonald (Dollock), sister of Alan MacDonald (Plaster) of South Side Harbour. They had a son Alex (The Widow) MacDonald, who lived on the old homestead at Black River. Alex had a family among which was, Alan Joseph, who has a family and lives on the old homestead.

Hugh also had a son Andrew, who married Christena MacDonald, daughter of Rory MacDonald. They had a large family, but I am aware of a daughter, Christena, who married John Chisholm (Schoolhouse) and lived in Glasburn. They had a large family, among whom was Angus Cameron, who now lives on Braemore Street, Antigonish. Angus married a Miss Sinclair from Upper South River and has a family of three. Pascal, a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University, now teaching in St. John, N.B. A son in Alberta, who has done well, and a daughter, who earned a Ph. D. and is now teaching. Andrew, son of John and Christena lives in Antigonish. Annabell married a Mr. MacNeil and they had a family." ~ this info was provided by John Ronald MacDonald, and translated by Terry Murphy of "The Murphy Family from Bayfield, Nova Scotia"

Another family member has done some research on this person and found that he is "the son of John MacDonald and the father of Colin MacDonald".
