Sep. 11, 2003: Addie Mae Perkins, age 93, of Blountstown, Fl, died today. She was born in Calhoun County and has lived there most of her life. She was a retired supervisor with the Sun Land Training Center in Marianna, Jackson County, FL. Addie also owned the City Café in Blountstown for several years. Parents were Zack and Bertha Messer; brothers, Monroe, Jinks, Jessie and Fonzell; sisters, Iris Ramsey, Virginia Jordan and Georgia Jones; son, James "Jimmy” Bailey; daughters, Laverne Rankin and Vondell Plummer; and an extended family. Burial in Victory Hill Cemetery.
