Bessie E. (Eichelberger) Herman, 87, died Thursday, February 16, 2006, at her residence. She was the the wife of Walter J. Herman, Sr., who died September 26, 2002. Graveside service Tuesday at Mt. Rose Cemetery, her pastor, Rev. Charlene Leigh-Koser, officiating. Mrs. Herman was born September 29, 1918, in York. She was a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Kibler) Eichelberger. Mrs. Herman was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Survivors include one son, Walter J. Herman II of Glen Rock; several grand and great-grandchildren; one brother, Howard Eichelberger of York; and two sisters, Ethel Miller and Louise Stremmel, both of York. [York Daily Record]
