Mrs. Peter Amundson, 87, a resident of the Blackduck county for the past 50 years, passed away at her home last Thursday, March 21, after an illness which has confined her to her home in Langor township for the past 22 years. She recently returned home from the Bemidji hospital where she received medical care for kidney and heart ailment.
Mrs. Bergit Graff Amundson was born in Norway on September 11, 1858. She came to the United States about 1890, and soon afterwards filed on a homestead in Langor township. In September 1904 she was united in marriage at Bemidji to her surviving husband and has since made her home in Langor township. Mr. and Mrs. Amundson have no children. She leaves one nephew, S. Groff of Grand Forks, North Dakota, who, accompanied by Mrs. Groff, attended the funeral.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Zion Lutheran church with the pastor, Rev. Edmund Beaver, officiating, and interment took place in Lake View Cemetery.
