Gottfried Reich, a well known German citizen, died at 12:30 Monday morning at his home, 911 North Calhoun street, aged 68 years. He was severely burned by gas in the coal mine several years ago and had not been in good health since, though the immediate cause of his death was pneumonia.
He is survived by the following children: Carrie, William, Charles, Henrietta, Fred, Ferdinand, Johanna, Augusta, Emma, Minnie, Martha, Max, Ernest and Aster. He came here from Germany thirteen years ago.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon from St. Johannes German Lutheran church. The interment will be in Greenwood.
