In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law; Tom Wise of Columbus, OH, Dave and Michelle Wise of Greer, SC, Mike and Mary Jo Wise of Port St. Lucie, FL and Rick and Jan Wise of Gardner, KS; six grandchildren: Jay Wise, Andy Wise, Jeremy Wise, Kenny Wise, Allison (Andrew) McClesky and Danny Wise; and five great grandchildren: Jack, Grant, Grady, Fisher and Anson. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law: Vickie Wise.
Carl graduated from Troy High School and attended University of Cincinnati. He was a lifelong resident of Troy, having moved to Columbus 1½ years ago. Carl was also a longtime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Troy. He retired from Hobart Corp. after over 40 years of service. Carl stayed in touch and was actively involved with his THS class of '48 and all their activities. His true passion in life was his family. From little league baseball coach to following football and track careers to grandkids swim meets, football games and grandparents days, he was there.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Troy with Rev. Fr. James Duell as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy. Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Friday at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
