He graduated from Whitewater High School in 1964. Conrad served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Conrad worked as a mechanic for 20 years for Krentz Auto in Fort Atkinson, retiring in 2012. On August 5, 1988, Conrad married. Conrad had a passion for his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with his family, He worked on restoring cars in his garage, turning "junk" into a restored beauty. Conrad was preceded in death by his Father, Glenn, brothers: Bruce and Bennie Bender, and George Davis, and sister Joyce Davis.
