Peggy Blankenstein Fox, 83, of Bryan and formerly of Temple, died Monday, August 4, 2014, at the Isle at Watercrest in Bryan. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 11, in Bellwood Memorial Park with Rev. Tom Chamberlain officiating.

Peggy was born in Temple, Texas, the only child of the late Henry and Mamie Rosener Blankenstein. She graduated from Temple High School in 1947 and attended Mary Hardin-Baylor. Peggy was a lifelong resident of Temple until April of this year. She married Edmond J. "Eddie" Fox on December 31, 1952. She was employed as an administrative secretary at Scott & White Hospital for 15 years. Peggy was a charter member of and served as the first secretary of St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple. She also served as president of the Benevolent, Patriotic Order of DOES #139 and was a member of several bridge groups.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, in 2003.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Frazer and husband, Ross, of College Station; and granddaughters, Kelly and Carla Frazer.
