Pat was the daughter of Cordie Johnson and Walter Jackson Yates, the eighth child born to the two of them. She was born in St. Charles, Virginia in the Benedict Coal Mine area. After her dad passed away, she moved with her mom and family to Pennington Gap, Virginia, then to Middlesboro, Kentucky, then finally to Dayton, Ohio.

She married Kenneth H. Moore, from Indiana, in 1962. They made their home in Vandalia, Ohio, where they raised two children, Kenny and Kim.

Pat was a joy to all of her family, loved and adored by all. Many wonderful holiday gatherings were had in her home through the years, and she was welcoming and loving to everyone, a wonderful Christian woman.

She passed away peacefully in 2009 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 6 sisters, and the true love of her life, Kenneth Moore Sr. She was survived by son Kenneth Moore Jr, of Kissimmee, FL and daughter Kim (Frank) Focht of Vandalia, OH, as well as 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and her very dear sister & brother-in-law, Rita & Richard Gessells of West Carrollton,OH. Services were held at the Newcomer Funeral Home (North Chapel).

She was dearly loved, and is very missed.
