He was 82 years old and had resided in Danvers about twenty-five years.
He was married in June, 1836 to Miss Olivia Lombard, and eight children were born them, six or whom survive.
The surviving children are Mr. Andrew Washburn, the florist west of the city; Mr. Sherman Washburn, the Chicago & Alton engineer; Mrs. Ellen Carpenter and Mrs. Martha Himes, of Danvers; Mrs. Geo. M. Porter, of Helbron, Conn.; and Mrs. Lucy Baldwin, of Pasadena, Cal.
Mr. Washburn's first wife died in May, 1879, and in he was married to Mrs. Clarinda Crist, who survives him. He was a member of the Congregational church, and a man of the strictest integrity.
The funeral occurred yesterday at 4 p.m.
