Funeral services for Mrs. Robert M. Bolles, 82, were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, at New Hope church with Rev. Bill Pringle officiating. Mrs. Bolles died on November 14 at the home of her son, Ernest.

The Pettigrew Family quarter, of Elkland, who are nieces of Mrs. Bolles, sang "Beyond the Sunset," "Unclouded Day" and "I Won't Have to Cross Jordan Alone."

Escorts were Sydney Barr, Sr., Hansel Moore, Clifford Bolles, Sydney Barr, Jr., Ivan Hoke and Opel Bradshaw.

Services were under the direction of the Colonial Funeral Chapel and interment was in the New Hope cemetery.
Mrs. Lorenda Rebecca Bolles, daughter of George and Mary Wilkinson, was born on May 22, 1878, in Webster County, near Niangua. As a young woman she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with the New Hope Baptist church where she remained a faithful member until her death.

On June 4, 1898, she was united in marriage with Robert Milton Bolles and to this union three sons were born. She was preceded in death by her husband one son, Vernie.

Surviving her are two sons, Ernest, Oakland Star Route, Lebanon, and Effus, Casper, Wyoming; one sister, Mrs. Dora Reese, Niangua, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
