"Mary Nancy Puckett born Aug 19, 1859 in Karnes county, Texas died Feb 27, 1947 at the Medical Arts Hospital in Brownwood. Was married to Lewis F. Hudson (who preceded her in death April 12, 1945) August 2, 1881 at Georgetown, Texas.
Their first year of married life was spent at Hurst Ranch, then they moved to Center City and in August of 1888 they moved to Goldthwaite where they have since resided.
Mrs. Hudson fell at her home and fractured her hip Tuesday, Feb. 25. All that loving hands and medical skill could do was done.
Funeral services were in the home since there is no Presbyterian Church or pastor. Rev. Wilson, Rev. Weiss, and Rev. Bryant pastors of the Nazarene, Methodist and Baptist churches respectively performed the last rites. Interment in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery."
