Mr. Haight was a mechanic and business owner in Warrenville for approximately 40 years. He was the owner of Raechers Garage; Haights Ford Tractor; Warrenville Trailer Manufacturing, all in Warrenville and Lake Self Storage in Aurora.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Hally was involved in city politics, was a volunteer on the Warrenville Fire Department for over 20 years, served as a commissioner on the Fire Department District Board; served on the first Warrenville City Council and was a member of and instrumental in starting the Warrenville Chamber of Commerce. He was a coin collector and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Marmae A. Haight; loving children, Hally (Cheri) Haight, Margaret (Tom) Miller and Michael Haight; cherished grandchildren, Hally Aaron Haight and Katie (Kevin) Kasten; dear brothers and sisters, David (Arlene) Haight, Midge (Bob) Seis and Art (Diana) Haight; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Hally II and Verna Haight; brothers, Donald and Richard; sisters, Donna, Connie, Norman and Lucille; and grandson, Jason A. Haight.
Visitation Sunday, February 19, 2006, from 3-9 PM, with a funeral service at 5 PM at the Leonard Memorial Home, Ltd., 3S532 Batavia Road, Warrenville. Private Interment at Warrenville Cemetery.
