Benjamin Allen Robertson, age 81, of LaVernia, Texas passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014, after a valiant effort to recover from a fall. He was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on September 25, 1932 to Charles and Nina (Sledge) Robertson.

His lifetime achievements include over 20 years with the U.S. Air force, 15 years with the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind and 20 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He retired at the age of 78, but never quit working on one project or another.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Johnathan, Ray, Charles; two sisters, Martha and Sally.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Patricia Ann (Schulte) Robertson of LaVernia, Texas; His daughters, Linda Ann Heisler and husband Joe of Pipe Creek, Texas; Paula Jean Grigsby and husband James of Floresville, Texas; Cindy Sue Dylla and husband Ernest of St. Hedwig, Texas. His grandchildren, Shawn, Tisha, Sheldon, John and Duston; His great-grand children, Benjamin, Cambree, Madison, Brookelyn and Connor; Step-Grandchildren, Joey, Jamie, Ashley and Bobby. His Sisters, Mary, Sarah, Ninabell, Elna Mae, Dorothy, Sherrill, Ramona and Margaret; brothers, Jim, Eugene, Arthur, Virgil; numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends. He will be truly missed.

Pallbearers were his grandson Shawn McHorse, Sheldon Walpole, John Dylla and Duston Walpole.
