Everett N. Aasen, 86, of Iola, died Saturday, August 2nd, 2014 at Iola Living Assistance. Everett was born in Town of Harrison, Wisconsin on June 10, 1928, the son of the late Norman and Othelia (Thoe) Aasen. He married Viola Peterson on Nov 28, 1953 at Norhland Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on Feb 20, 2014.

Everett served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a mason for most of his life and worked for Ellis Stone for many years. Everett was a life long member of the Iola American Legion Post #14 and the Iola Winter Sports Club where he was very active as a ski coach. He enjoyed gardening, working in his yard and listening to polka music.

He is survived by

Daughters: Cindy (Gene) Wasrud of Iola.

Linda (Tary) Trepasso of Iola.

Four Grandchildren: Jamey (Jason) Karnitz, Port Edwards; Jon (Katie) Wasrud, Cottage Grove, MN Nick Trepasso, Wausau and Tanner Trepasso, Milwaukee. Great Granddaughter: Hadley Grace Wasrud. He was preceded in death by an infant Brother: Donald, Brothers: LaVerne and Willard, Sisters: Dorothy Melum and Lila Aanstad.

A Memorial Service will be held at Northland Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 7th, with Reverend Dan Somers officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday 9:30 - 11:00 AM. at the church. Interment of cremains will be in the parish cemetery.
