Born in Barnwell County, she was a daughter of the late Allie Verdie Sr and Marie Fanning Collum.
Mrs Flowers was a graduate of Brenau College and was a retired schoolteacher, having taught in Richland, Bamberg and Barnwell county schools for 34 years. She also taught private piano lessons for a number of years and was former church organist at Healing Springs Baptist Church and the Blackville United Methodist Church.
She was a member of Healing Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs Kay Bell of Williston, a son, H T Flowers Jr of Blackville, and a niece and a cousin.
Services will be held at 2 pm today in Blackville Cemetery. Folk Funeral Home of Williston is in charge.
