LENTZ, JOSEPH PAUL, 92, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 in Campbellsville, KY.

He attended Holy Trinity and Ballard High School, retired from the United States Postal Service after 43 years of service, and was a World War II Army veteran. He was in the Arrow Division, wounded in New Guinea and received a purple heart. Joe was a member of the American Legion and D. A. V.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Levon Marcum Lentz; his parents, Otto William Lentz and Minnie Madeline Lotz; and his brother, William H. Lentz of California.

Survivors include his daughter, Paula T. Hines of North Carolina; his grandson, David Wayne of Indiana; two great-granddaughters, Hannah Wayne and Katie Snellen. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert M. Lentz (Jeannie) of Campbellsville and James B. "Jim" Lentz of Louisville; and sisters, Mary Agnes Bodenbender of Nashville, TN, Mary Catherine Hurst of Louisville and Joan H. Tunstill of San Jose, CA.

Graveside service will be noon Monday at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. Pearson's in charge of arrangements.
