Last Saturday the sad news relative to the death of Henry Beach by drowning, reached his family who reside east, near the State road.

Last spring, Mr. Beach went to Crogan, Lewis county, to work in a mill. Last Friday while walking over a foot bridge leading a horse, he fell together with the horse, into the stream. His body floated down the stream over the falls, and was found but a short distance from the shore, life being extinct. The horse was rescued alive.

Mr. Beach was the son of Frank Beach, and brother of Andrew, William and Joseph Beach. He was married about two years ago to Miss Lucy Rogers, daughter of Alvin Rogers, of this town. Mrs. Beach started last Saturday for Crogan to join her husband, knowing nothing of his death until she arrived at her destination. The grief stricken wife and family of the deceased, have the sympathy of the entire community.

Henry was a very estimable, young man. The loss of such people the community deeply mourn. The remains were brought here Monday for interment, the funeral being held from his late home.
