Frank was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico and grew up in Vaughn, New Mexico. He owned a 1963 Chevy and liked to take his sister riding in town and honk at people.
He enlisted in the Marines 25 July 1967, at the Albuquerque Recruiting Office and took his boot
camp training in San Diego and infantry training at Camp Pendleton.
While stationed there he met his future wife. Frank and Maria L Archibeque were married 21
November 1967 in Los Angeles and made their home in Santa Monica.
Frank was issued orders for Vietnam and upon arriving there 1 January 1968, he was assigned to
Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. Frank died as a result of gunshot wounds to the body from enemy small arms fire while at a night ambush site in the vicinity of C-2 Bridge and 4 kilometers south southeast of Con Thien (Hill 158).
Frank was married and served his country for 6 months and 28 days and was KIA #22799.
He had been in Vietnam for 1 month and 21 days and was 19 years,11 months and 13 days old.
Survived by his wife, Marie L Madrid of 14440 C 10th St, Santa Monica, California and his father, Salomon Alonzo Madrid of General Delivery, Vaughn, New Mexico and his mother, Teodorita Madrid and his sister,
Patricia of 422 South Xavier St, Denver, Colorado.
