On July 7, 1917, he was united in marriage to Miss Neta Jones who survives his passing. To this union 12 children were born, eight of whom survive his passing. The surviving children are: Rosemary Brown, Centerville; Vivian Swartz of St. Louis, MO; Robert, Jr., Jackie, Shirley, Jerry, Joy and Carol, all at home. He is also survived by four brothers, Bud, Lige, James and Frank, and two sister, Alda Garrison and Edna Shanahan, all of Centerville. Seven grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Peel had been in failing health for four or five years, but continued to work until his sudden death last Wednesday, as he was about to start his day's work. His sudden death comes as a shock to his family and many friends.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Miller Funeral Home with H.E. Trimble officiating. Burial was in the Haines Cemetery.
