Harry S. Truman

Harry S. Truman, 68, of Left Hand, passed away on August 29, 2013, at the Louis A. Johnson VAMC, Clarksburg.

He was born May 20, 1945, at Left Hand, a son of the late Lawrence and Oma Deweese Truman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Truman Siers; and three brothers-in-law.

Harry was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War and a retired Pennzoil employee.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Linda Bissell Truman; three sisters, Nellie Butler of Madison, Ohio, Gladys Carper of Tariff and Oeta Miller of Spencer; two brothers, Alvis "Sonny" Truman of Spencer and James A. Truman of Left Hand; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Robert A. "Bob" Keen officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
