Violet Rasmussen Dahl, 85, passed away November 30, 1996 of natural causes.

Born August 11, 1911 in Bear River, Utah to Niels Peter and Marie Henricksen Rasmussen. Married Lewis A. Dahl in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 10, 1933. Lewis preceded her in death November 20, 1989. Violet served a mission for the LDS Church in the Midwest and fulfilled many ward and stake callings for her church. She was always involved in Midvale civic clubs and as a retail merchant with her husband, Lewis, on Midvale's Main Street. During World War II, she worked as a chemist doing basic research on atomic energy for the Manhattan Project at Hanford, Washington. She was an example to all who knew her and showed exceptional love for her family. Violet especially loved her grandchildren because of the great joy they brought to her life.

The family wishes to thank those in-home nurses who cared so much during her last days.

Survivors: sons, Rodney Dahl and wife, Joyce, Union, Utah; Rulon Dahl and wife, Linda, St. George; daughter, Maureen Stauffer and husband, Steve, Midvale; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Elva Jackson, Brigham City, Utah. Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Debra.

Funeral services Wednesday, December 4, 1996 at 12 noon in the Midvale 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 97 West 7500 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
