A native of Opelika, Alabama, Mr. Maloy was previously employed at Lockheed where he was a flight line mechanic and retired from Delta Airlines where he was also employed as an aircraft mechanic. He was a member of Hollydale Baptist Church and was a member of the Springville Masonic Lodge 153 in Powder Springs where he served as Worshipful Master in 1985. Mr. Maloy was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served for 12 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Alto Lee Maloy; brother Richard Maloy; and sister Emily Davis, all from Opelika, AL. Mr. Maloy is survived by his wife of 55 years Brenda Thomaston Maloy; children Jacqulyn Maloy Stacy (Alan Stacy) of Charlotte, NC and Pamela Maloy of Marietta, GA; sister Delores Butts of Valley, AL; and grandchildren Amanda, Ashley, Natalie, and Curtis Stacy, all of Charlotte, NC. West Cobb Funeral Home, Marietta, Georgia, and Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home in Opelika, Alabama were in charge of arrangements.
