Mrs. Miley was born and raised in Philadelphia, MS. She passed peacefully in Dallas where she had resided for the last three years. Mrs. Miley was a lifelong member of the First Church of God on Columbus Avenue in Philadelphia.
Survivors include her daughter, Wilda McColley (Gary) of Carrollton, Texas and Bobbie Goss (Aaron) of Philadelphia/Union; son, "Buddy" Miley of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Candi Mangelsdorf (Tom) of Dallas, TX, Brian May of Carrollton, TX, Maxwell Gunn (Rhonda) of Petal, Daniel Gunn (Ada) of Hackettstown, NJ and Anthony Miley (Teresa) of Denham Springs, La.; great-grandchildren, Johnthan, Jordan and Jackson Gunn, Chloie, Meghan and William Mangelsdorf and Crystal and David Miley, and sister, Nickolene Agent.
Mrs. Miley was preceded in death by her parents, John Robert and Fronie Nowell; husbands, Reid Rhodes and C. M. Miley; son, R. B. Rhodes; siblings, Nellie Adcock, Herman Nowell, Wadie Adcock, Floyd Nowell, Coyt Nowell, Maudie Clark, Evie Strickland, Ruby Devine, Euna Agent and Mattie Todd.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at TexSen Care Home for their love and devotion, the Hospice staff of VNA and the many doctors that attended to Hazel's health and well being over the years.
Pallbearers are Keith Nowell, Jimmy Nowell, Paul Agent, James Agent, Sidney Agent, Nolan Agent. Honorary pallbearer is Wydell Clark.
Hazel loved flowers, but if you prefer, a donation can be made to the Oak Ridge Church of God Cemetery Fund or to a charity of your choice.
