"Mrs. Sarah Cyphers, and aged and highly respected resident died at 2:30 this morning, at the residence of her granddaughter, Mrs. Geo. Morrow, 1205 Seventeenth avenue. Death resulted from diseases incident to old age. Deceased was born in Canoe Creek July 25, 1821, and had resided in Altoona the past thirty years. Her husband, George T. Cyphers, died forty-two years ago. One sister, Mrs. David Sorrick, of this city, survives. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Deceased was a consistent member of the Second Lutheran church. Funeral services will be held at the late home Thursday afternoon at 1:30 by Rev. D. Waggoner. Interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery, Hollidaysburg."
